Skin care
Before I began on Meg's skin wanted to make sure her face was perfectly prepped before I applied the make-up. Once I had cleansed and toned her face I applied a small amount of moisturiser focusing on the driest areas of the skin.
I then applied Illamasqua Satin Primer lightly to prime the skin to ensure an even coverage of foundation.
I began by lightly concealing Megs blemishes and dark areas under the eyes. I then mixed together the right shade of foundation on my hand and applied by dabbing a light, even amount all over the face with a sponge. You can also use a foundation brush or your fingers depending on what works best for you!
I then set the base with Illamasqua translucent powder with my powder bush by pressing and rolling the brush gently around the face focusing more on the oily areas.
'Rimmel's first foundation that instantly reawakens the skin with a healthy, radiant glow'
Out of every Rimmel foundation, this one has to be my favourite. Its light, moisturising texture applies smoothly to the skin feeling soft and fresh all day. In the light it reveals a faint shimmer which really will awaken your face; hence the name.
I found that this was quite an oil based foundation, and so I wouldn't advise using it if you already have oily skin. At just a cheap high street price of just £8.99 this foundation is a great buy if you're not looking to pay too much! It's not a designer brand, but it is still a great buy for it's cheap price. I would highly recommend trying this one out!
