Rimmel London are a global brand and are recognised as one of the world's foremost creators of women's make-up. The House of Rimmel was originally founded by Eugene Rimmel in 1834 in Regent Street, London, England after working as a perfumer and designing cosmetics with his father. Rimmel produces make-up products, and is currently one of the world's most popular make-up producers. Rimmel products can be found in most high street drug stores such as Boots and Superdrug and is affordable for everyone ranging their prices from only £1-£10.During the 1970s and 1980s the company changed hands several times before Coty Inc. finally acquired it in 1996.Coty, Inc. is a global beauty products manufacturer founded in Paris, France by François Coty in 1904. Its main products are fragrances; colour cosmetics and skin & body care products. It is known for its cooperation with designers and celebrities for the creation of fragrances. Rimmel has since gone from strength to strength, bringing its unique London look to more than 40 countries worldwide and establishing itself as Britain’s best-selling cosmetics brand. It is a recognisable brand due to its well-known slogan ‘Get the London Look’ which the faces of Rimmel say on their television advertisements. In the past, ads featuring Georgia May Jagger and Kate Moss were banned from Television and British magazines after the advertising standards authority found them to be misleading when they used false lashes to advertise their new mascara. They have focused their target market at 16-35 year old women giving them the ability to use bright exciting coloured packaging, and not using high-density products to keep the cost to a minimum. Over the years Rimmel have designed and created some amazing products which have had had a lot of positive reviews formulating them into one of the best British high street cosmetic brands. Rimmel's mission and objective as a brand is to create a confidence, and belied in every woman.
