Volume & Texture...

We all have a bad hair day, but sometimes a little product and TLC can leave your hair looking as amazing as it does on those 'good days'. Hair texturising powder, dry shampoo and mouse are three products perfect for grasping that desired bouncy full looking textured hair style.

Volume

One way of achieving volume from the roots is to crimp closely to the root of the under layered hair so that when you place the top layer back over it is slightly more raised than before. Because crimpers are a heated appliance, this isn't the best choice for everyday hair ware, and so instead there are other ways of creating volume.

Blow drying the hair using a rounded brush is another way of achieving this look. Ensure to lift the hair up at the roots when drying to give it that natural looking lift.

Texture

Textured hair is great for the days that you don't want to apply too much direct heat to the hair which straighteners and crimpers and curlers do. To create texture like in the images above, simply take a water spray dispenser and spray the ends of the hair being careful not to soak the top or roots. Once hair is slightly wet, take a hair moose and rub this in hands to ensure even coverage in the hair. Comb product through the ends of the hair with your fingers whilst gently scrunching the hair in your hands. Lastly dry the hair using a hair dryer with an air diffuser attached. Then just hair spray the hair to hold and finish.

Kate moss has textured hair here in this shoot for Rimmel, similar to the textured hair that I myself created on Megs hair in the images above. This hair style tends to be quite popular in many of Rimmels Campaign shoots and so I think I am going to create this in at least one of my final beauty shoots.
