On
Monday 10th February 2014 myself and my fellow piers went
on a trip to London to visit Westfield Shopping Center and have a
brief master class with the make-up artists in MAC and BOBBI BROWN.
I found this trip really useful as we got shown nearly all of their
products, got given demonstrations and were able to test the products
on ourselves for future preference. There was also a chance to save
30% if we were to buy any products in store that day which was useful
to have the option of this discount as we all know how horrifically expensive Make-up is!
MAC
During
the MAC demonstrations we were shown the different ranges and
products that they have out at the moment, the best sellers and
compulsory products which we need for our kits. This was really
useful as I learnt knowledge that I wasn't aware about before and
was able to write down products that I liked and had tested to see
the exact colours etc which was a lot more precise than looking at
colours online.
We
were shown catwalk looks and the time in which we would have to do
it in if we were working backstage.
BOBBI
BROWN
Bobbi
Brown was similar to MAC although we didn't get a demonstration like
in MAC, it was more a general talk about all of the products and how
they work for them.
