Illamasqua Timed Assessment Plan...

For my Illamasqua timed assessment I want to carry on my focus with cool iced colours to keep with my fairly futuristic theme so far. I have created a mood board to use as inspiration when designing my face chart for this look as I want to create something beautiful in the time that I have.

When Illamasquas make-up ambasidor team came to Solent to display a master class with us, they informed us about the theme of the competition this year being what we see trends to be like in the future. I wanted to remove our natural instinct to use warm pink and bronzed tones on the face, and instead focus more on cold tones, creating a futuristic inspired look. Glitter was the first thing that came into my mind when designing this face chart, and so I wanted to incorporate this without making the design look tacky.

Another thing that I want to create in this image is removing the dramatic eyelashes and liner from the future Illamasqua. Sometimes I think too much lash and liner can ruin the true aspect of an image and make it look un-original. I have designed a much more natural look covering the lashes with only a brush of brown mascara.

For this face chart I have used L'Oreal True Match Foundation mixed with a tiny bit of White Illamasqua Foundation to create a pale base. I then used Blue and Turquoise eyeshadows and apply all over the cheek bones. Add a subtle shade of purple onto the apples and blend well together. I brushed a pale Icy Blue all over the eye lids and added a darker shade on the outer corners and into the crease to define the eyelids. I added my Silver Illamasqua Liquid Metal all over the lips and dabbed dark Teal to the outer corners with my finger tips. Lastly I moisturised the neck and covered it with Fairy Dust in White, Pale Pink and Purple shades.
I have also braided a plait into the fringe to push the hair from out of the face. Here below is a practice of this look that I did on my friend.
I really like the outcome of this look and will be using it for my Timed Assessment. I also created it in just under the allowed time which is good news for me!
