Beauty Look 3: Smokey Eye...

For this look I wanted to step away from the bight colour's and create a more sophisticated look similar to one that Kate Moss was featured in shown in the image below. I also want to use a deep red backdrop to add a Rimmel touch to the shoot. As for the hair, I instantly fell in love with this beautiful hair design above by Hair Stylist and Make-up Artist Regan Cameron.

I am going to create a Nude Lip to keep all focus on the dramatic eye make-up and use a soft pink blusher with subtle shaded contouring.

I attempted to re-create the chosen hair design that I want to do on my model for this shoot, although after doing it, I have decided that I don't think it'll look right for this particular shoot. The image on the left shows my first attempt of this style. At the time I didn't like the outcome as I felt it looked too messy for Beauty image. I then re-tried the look, but went for a more smoother approach, flattening and smoothing down the top layer of hair, and again wasn't happy with the final outcome. I have now decided to scrap this hair design, and instead create something completely different. As I enjoyed working with the heated rollers during my practical seminars, I have decided that I am going to use them on this look, and have loose voluminous curls with the hair down rather than up. If my model needs it, I will wash and blow dry her hair before hand to give me the best final outcome.
